Sender One As-Built Documentation, Los Angeles, CA

Background: Sender One was constructing a new rock-climbing gym in an existing building. To plan the placement of the climbing walls they needed to know where they could anchor into the existing slab. The existing slab contained both rebar and post tension cables. The landlord requested they avoid rebar when possible and obviously hitting a post-tension cable was not an option.

GPR Data’s Solution: GPR Data was able to scan all the necessary areas in less than two field days. About a week later Sender One engineers were provided a CAD file that showed the rebar and the post tension cables throughout the slab. The wall design was updated to reflect the clear anchor locations and fabrication of anchor plates were completed off site.
